“Never Give Up!”
Louis Chevrolet, the owner and founder of the Chevrolet car company is famous for using the phrase “never give up” as he developed and created the car company that formed in the early year of 1911 that pretty much changed everything. Louis Chevrolet had a vision of creating one of a kind vehicles that were built with the upmost style and luxury, with each one being unique and one of a kind. In 1911 when the car company was formed, with the official title called the Chevrolet Motor Company, originally started in a small garage located in Flint, Michigan believe it or not. There were originally two partners that put the company together and formed the image around the Chevrolet Motor Company that would change the automobile industry forever. The two partners were Lewis Chevrolet, as mentioned above, who came from a background of being an experienced race car driver that originally came from Belgian. The other partner who helped founded the now famous and highly reputable company was both and entrepreneur as well as the founder of another well-known company in today’s age called General Motors, he was also the main investor in both projects; his name was William Durant
The two worked well together and made a very successful business team, creating their first finished product together which was a premium vehicle priced at around $2,500 called “The Classic Six” which was also the first Chevrolet car to ever be made and sold as a part of the newly founded company. Although unfortunately the Classic Six didn’t make much success in earning hardly any profits, neither Lewis Chevrolet nor William Durant got discouraged by this. This is why the “never give up” phrase became the company motto, because that’s just what they did. Both men had a strong vision and were highly determined to create perhaps the first ever automobile of its kind that was not only affordable for the common middle class people, but was also created with a high elegant style that would change the automobile industry for years to come, which we now know in today’s age is true, as Chevrolet is one of the most recognizable vehicle companies to date.
